10 Injured as Bus Crashes into Lorry on NH-65 at Kodad
Nalgonda: At least 10 passengers were injured in a road accident that took place on National Highway No. 65, Kodad in Suryapet district on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred when a private travel bus crashed into a truck from behind, seriously injuring 10 passengers. The bus, belonging to Intercity Travels, was carrying 36 passengers on its way to Hyderabad from Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, at the time of the accident.
Passengers who panicked after the accident broke the windows of the bus and got out. Due to the force of the impact, the cabin of the bus was stuck in the back of the truck.
On receiving information, Kodad police rushed to the spot and took out the bus cabin using JCB. Police suspect that the cause of the accident was the bus driver’s drowsy driving. The injured were taken to Kocaeli State Hospital with two ambulances and received treatment.
