As many as 11 districts of Kerala are bracing for heavy rains on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad.
The low pressure area concentrated over the southeastern Arabian Sea, which threatens to turn into an intense depression, triggered the current rainfall period. IMD predicts that the northeast monsoon will intensify over Kerala in the next 48 hours.
