125-year-old CP Building Restored, Set for Inauguration Today
Haydarabad: After the restoration of the James Street police station, working on the 125 -year -old commissioner office in Purani Haveli, also known as Kotwal Balda, was completed. Restored building will be given to the police on Wednesday. It hasn’t been used for more than half a decade.
In 2023, Haydarabad Police Commissioner CV Anand signed an agreement with Mir Khan, the chief conservator of a special heritage protection and restoration company Deccan Heritage, a special heritage protection and restoration company for the protection of Kotwal Office. Anil Kumar from the Greenko Group provided 2.6 crore within the scope of an CSR attempt for the revival of the inheritance building.
The building buildings were donated by the sixth order and Mir Mahbub Ali Khan. The Kotwal Office is built in colonial architecture, which has spread to 4,500 feet square, using stone and lime masonry. There are stone arches in the doors and windows.
Deccan Terrain Heritage’s chief conservator Mir Khan said that the terrace fluid was damaged and that water leaked due to constant moisture; Wooden beams were weakened.
“Terrace we made waterproofing, we replaced worsening wooden beams and restored the structural arches and load -bearing walls damaged in places. Since there was a heritage building, lime mortar was used and three layers of plaster was applied.”
The restored building has a CP cabin, a waiting room, a conference room and a DCP office.
Deccan Terrain Heritage is also working on projects aiming to include the art of inheritance in urban landscapes near the city intersections. Khan, “Mehdatnam and Masab Tank in a Moroccan -style fountain and a desk tank, including a pearl installation, including three projects, including the identity of Haydarabad’s identity symbolizes the identity,” he said.
Some important restoration works completed by Deccan Land Heritage include Mecca Masjid, Moula Ali Kaman, Bansillal Stepwell, Manmool Stone Castle in Icrisat, 18th century Gulzar Houz crashed in Langar Houz and the restaurant James police station.
Deccan Heritage also completed a model of the Lad Bazaar and is waiting for the tender approval to convert the rest of the region into a traditional appearance, including 270 shops.
The restoration works continue in Afzalgunj Jama Masjid, which has been extensively decorated in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage. The restoration of Nizamia Unani Tibbi Hospital will begin after the facilities have been evacuated and the construction of other university buildings continues.
