15 killed in blast at explosives factory in Maharashtra’s Nagpur

At least 15 people were killed in an explosion at an explosives manufacturing factory in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district on Sunday morning, according to PTI.
The explosion took place at the SBL Energy Limited plant at Raulgaon in Katol tehsil. The company produces mining and industrial explosives.
A senior police official told PTI that the blast took place earlier in the day. SBL Energy Limited representatives said the incident took place between 7am and 7.15am at the company’s detonator packaging unit.
Police told PTI that the injured were shifted to a hospital in Nagpur immediately after the blast. The exact number of injured was not immediately clear.
A company official said rescue operations were ongoing and a detailed statement would be released soon.
