17-year-old Cooroy teen killed in Noosa Heads pedestrian crash

A 17-year-old Cooroy boy died after uterine impaction in Noosa Heads in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said the collision happened at about 1.54am on Claude Batten Dr when the teenager crashed into a Ford Ranger.

Emergency services responded to the child at the scene, but it was determined that the child died a short time later.

The driver, a 19-year-old from Tewantin, was uninjured and is cooperating with police as investigations continue.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has camera footage to come forward.
