On Friday, a 17 -year -old student fled narrowly from a wild elephant attack in the rehabilitation of Kerala’s Kannur city.
The student, who was defined as CK ordinary in Kakkayangad Iti, went to the institute when he met the elephant. Witnesses said the previously identified animal in the Pookund area chased it. He managed to run to a nearby house.
The locals, the elephant deleted in the forest instead of moving deeper into the settlement area, he said. They said that the busy bushes in the region make it difficult to identify the elephants until they were dangerous.
Six months ago, a couple, Veli and Leela were killed by a elephant in the block 13 and asked for a decision to clean the rinsing. However, due to lack of funds, he stopped in the middle of the work and allowed the forest to grow back.
The residents also claimed that the temporary solar fence could not keep the elephants away as the animals were broken and returned.
Despite the Gaja Mukti operation, the driving forces to chase them back to the wild elephants continue to enter the settlements again by revealing renewed concerns about the human-wildlife conflict in Aralam.
