19-yr-Old Youth Dies As Car Plunges Into Reservoir

-Warangal: A 19-year-old youth died after a car crashed into the Dharmasagar reservoir near Ghanpur Station in Jangaon district on Wednesday night.

Police identified the deceased as Bhukya Pawan, a resident of Deshai Thanda. He was traveling along with 18-year-old Dharavath Charan from Ghanpur Station towards Pallagutta and their hometown when the vehicle reportedly left the road and fell into the reservoir.

Charan was injured due to broken glass and was rescued by local people. The young man was taken to a nearby hospital and received treatment.

Pawan was trapped inside the submerged vehicle. After a search lasting approximately 24 hours with the participation of police and expert divers, the car was tracked late on Thursday evening. The body was removed from the vehicle and later removed with the help of a crane.

The body was taken to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident, including the possibility of excessive speed or a mechanical fault.
