2 dead, 2 others hurt after chaotic half-hour on Hwy. 401

Two people were killed and two others were injured after separate early morning crashes on Hwy. 401 that happened within a span of less than 20 minutes and about 10 kilometres apart.
The OPP Highway Safety Division said the first crash was reported Sunday at about 3:37 a.m. on the eastbound 401 ramp to Hwy. 410.

Police said two people were in a vehicle that rolled over on the highway. The 23-year-old female driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 25-year-old female passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Less than a half-hour later, the OPP responded to another fatal collision on the eastbound 401 lanes approaching Dixon Rd.
Police said two vehicles with lone occupants collided at about 3:50 a.m. with a 29-year-old male driver being pronounced dead while en route to a hospital after being ejected from his vehicle.

Another 29-year-old male, who was driving the other vehicle, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
