2 Jewellery Shops Burgled In Bodhan

NIZAMABAD: A major theft incident was reported in two jewelery shops in Bodhan town of Nizamabad district and the incidents came to light on Sunday when the shop owners noticed the theft.

According to police, unidentified thieves broke the shutters of two gold shops around midnight on Saturday and made off with around 35 tolas of gold, 16 kg of silver and Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Police suspect the involvement of an emerging gang targeting jewelery stores in the area. A canine team was deployed and forensic teams collected fingerprints and other evidence from the scene.

Bodhan police registered the cases and launched an investigation to trace the culprits.
