A total of 6,018 online applications were received by voters to delete their names from the voter list, but during ECI investigations, only 24 applications were authentic.
ECI stressed that a voter’s name cannot be deleted from the list by filling only online application form. He said voters were not wrongly deleted. ECI, a voter’s name to delete the name from the list is not enough to fill in the form, a voter should go through the whole process and an investigation has been made.
