3 labourers Killed As Crane Wire Snaps During Desilting In Bhupalpally

-Warangal: Three agricultural workers lost their lives when the crane cable broke during desilting work in an agricultural well in Korikishala village of Mogullapally mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Saturday.

According to police, workers were removing mud and debris from inside the shaft when the steel rope of the crane used to lift the soil suddenly broke.

The workers were trapped under falling crane parts before they could escape from the well. The deceased were identified as 48-year-old Sukina Devaraju, 26-year-old Bandari Abhilash and 53-year-old Sarigommula.

After the villagers informed the police, the police came to the scene and took the bodies. The bodies were taken to the state hospital for autopsy. Police registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation to determine whether negligence or lack of machinery maintenance led to the incident.
