30 Lives Lost Due To Floods In Punjab; Governor, CM Visit Affected Areas

Chandigarh: Punjab, Governor and Prime Minister, who have been fighting with the worst floods for decades, were influenced by the anger of nature with Selati, who claimed to be 30 lives as they visited some of the affected regions on Tuesday.
According to the bulletin published on Tuesday, all 23 regions of the state were shot by floods.
A total of 1,400 villages have been influenced and have affected 3,54,626 people so far and claimed that there were 30 life in 12 regions. Pathankot reported the highest death fee of six people.
Approximately 20,000 people have been released from the flood hit regions so far.
Punjab has been fighting against one of the worst floods since 1988.
In solidarity with the people of the state, all Punjab officers decided to contribute to the Prime Minister charity fund for a day, DGP Gaurav Yadav said, “This contribution is a modest gesture to support the ongoing aid and rehabilitation efforts.” He said.
The Haryana government, which expresses solidarity with Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, who carries the burden of the disaster caused by heavy rains, issued 5 Crore financial aid for each of both states for both states.
Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann visited some of the affected areas separately on Tuesday.
A visible emotional mann, who visited the villages affected by the flood in the Ferozepur region, said that Punjab has always stopped with the country during crisis times and hopes that the country will now respond.
He expressed serious concerns about the “inadequate compensation” given to people due to natural disasters and sought a revision in the aid norms of the center.
Prime Minister, Ferozepur’un affected areas of the flood toured on a boat. The governor held a meeting with the administrative officials in the Ferozepur border region.
Kataria, who began to visit the flood hits from Ferozepur, discussed the ongoing aid and rehabilitation measures for the affected families and directed the authorities to provide timely assistance and effective coordination.
Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma and Police Bhupinder Singh Senior Director attended the meeting.
Kataria also visited Tarn Taran later on the day. Harike evaluated the flood situation in Headworks and reviewed the help and rescue operations with the administration and army officials. The governor also issued instructions to provide timely and effective help to the affected families.
Authorities are planned to visit Kataria on Wednesday Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot and Hoshiarpur and Sri Anandpur Sahib on Thursday.
During his visit to Ferozepur, the governor met with the affected people in a charity camp in Bare Village and listened to his problems.
Hussainiwala Headworks and the Border Security Force (BSF) examined the task and later paid tribute at the Hussainiwala War Monument.
National Disaster Response Power (NDRF), Army, BSF, Police and Regional officials in the affected regions continue aid and rescue operations.
Meanwhile, a new rain spell polluted several parts of the state.
According to the air department, a few places in Punjab ended at 8:30 in the 24 -hour period of 24 hours.
In addition to other places, Amritsar, 18.3 mm Rain, 70.5 mm, Bath in 5 mm, Faridkot 1 mm, Gurdaspur 32.8 mm, Mansa 10 mm and Mohali 44.5 mm.
Between 8:30 and 17:30 in the morning, several parts of the state witnessed the rain, including Ferozepur, Mansa, Pathankot and Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Considering the harsh weather conditions and dominant flood -like situations, all of the 43 skill development centers working with the Punjab Skill Development Mission will remain closed until Wednesday to ensure the safety and prosperity of the stakeholders.
On Monday, the government of the AAM in the province (AAP) announced that all colleges, universities and polytechnic institutes have been closed until September 3 due to continuous heavy rains.
