4 Dead, Several Injured In Shooting At Banquet Hall California | World News

In a shocking incident, at least four people were killed and around 10 others were injured after a shooting broke out during a family gathering in Stockton, California, ANI reported citing CNN.

The incident occurred in a banquet hall where a family celebration was taking place, the report said, citing the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. The suspected shooter remains at large.

Deputies responded to reports of gunshots heard shortly before 6 p.m. (local time) near Lucile Boulevard, about four miles north of downtown Stockton, authorities said. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is currently handling the investigation.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Heather Brent said the victims included both teenagers and adults. The injured were taken to surrounding hospitals and treated.

“Early indications are that this could be a targeted incident,” Brent said, ANI reported.
