4 Drown in Tungabhadra River During Wedding Trip
Kurnool: On Friday morning, coinciding with the Sri Rama Navami festival, the wedding celebration took a tragic turn when four people from Karnataka drowned in the Tungabhadra River in Kosigi mandal in the district.
According to the information obtained, a group of 15 people from Manvi went to Kandukur village to attend the wedding ceremony. After the wedding festivities were over, four members of the group, two men and two women, went to bathe at the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) irrigation project along the Tungabhadra River.
Since neither of them could swim, all four drowned in the water. Their bodies were later found but further details about the victims are awaited.
While the incident caused darkness in the village, celebrations gave way to sadness after the news of his death.
