Kaveri Travels Hands Over `40 Lakh Compensation to Accident Victims’ Families
Kurnool: Vemuri Kaveri Travels management met with district collector Dr. in the presence of minister TG Bharath on Thursday. A. He handed over 40 lakhs as compensation to Siri. The said amount was provided as financial assistance to the victims of the bus accident that occurred near Chinna Tekuru on October 24.
Representatives of Kaveri Travels met district collector Siri, superintendent of police Vikrant Patil, joint collector Nurul Quamar and Panyam MLA Gowru Charitha in the collection room and handed over the check to the minister.
As part of the compensation, a total of 38 lakhs were given to the families of 17 adult victims and two children who lost their lives, 2 lakhs each. Additionally, four seriously injured people were awarded $50,000 each, taking the total compensation to Rs 40 lakh.
