Met Officer barred from frontline duty for five years amid gross misconduct probe after he Tasered a suspect and left him paralysed is cleared

“We know that our use of Taser is seen as a controversial tactic by some of them, and such events increase very legitimate concerns.
‘We are doing important work with our communities to make them more involved in watching how we use it, including the introduction of a new review panel.
‘TASER continues to be a vital tool, but we will continue to make investigations and educate our officers regularly, so that they will use the tactic in accordance with.’
