The country where workers are being offered the chance to retire at 45 | World | News

The retirement age in the UK is currently 66, but between 2026 and 2028 to 67. The retirement age in France is six months after the 62th birthday of the workers. However, there is a place where you can retire at the age of 45: Thailand.
It should be noted that this policy is not in the country in Thailand. In fact, it is only put forward by a company. Kasikorn Bank or KBANK is launching a special Early Pension (ER) program that staff can retire five years before the age of 50 years. According to an internal announcement, KBANK, the third largest bank in the country, launched a one -time private plan that allowed employees to volunteer for early retirement.
Pursuant to the conditions of the program, applications should be submitted between 15 August and 7 October with approval on the discretion of the bank. Appropriate applications should be 45-59.
Successful applications receive retirement compensation and additional allowances according to age groups.
Candidates aged 45-49, 50-54 and 55-59 receive additional allowances equivalent to eight, 10 and 12 months, respectively.
Tanit Solat, Vice President of the Thai Trade and Industry Employer Confederation, claimed that in general, private plans could be a mechanism to force the personnel early.
He said Bangkok Post: “While applicants in the banking sector often suffer from burnout, employers can use them as a way to take these plans quietly.”
KBANK Vice President Sastra Mungkornusawakul said the output was designed to increase productivity in the face of the innovative potential of artificial intelligence.
“AI deterioration came faster than the bank’s foreseen, last year and this year increased exponentially.” He said.
“Meanwhile, some employees asked for a special private program because they were uncomfortable with adapting to digital and AI technologies.”
