Police slam false claims they are investigating child for viewing social media post

The police claimed that they were investigating a child because they saw a social media broadcast as “completely wrong”.
Images circulating online screamed after claiming that two officers from West Midlands police tried to seize a child’s phone through a social media post. However, in a statement published on Sunday, the force clips were “intensively arranged” and “misleading”.
West Midlands police said that after a complaint of a public member’s “incredibly serious nature” messages of a public member, they were investigating a malicious communication crime after a complaint about the creation of a false social media account.
They added that a 13 -year -old suspect was withdrawn during the interaction with his mother while visiting the viral images.
“We are aware of the reports of a child to view a social media post. This is completely wrong,” he said.
“After a complaint from a member of the public, we investigate that a false social media account was created and used to send inappropriate messages.
“The crime investigated is one of the malicious communications – sending immoral or great disturbing communication to cause distress or anxiety.
“As a part of the investigation, the officers made a series of attempts to talk to a young girl at the home address at Walsall at the beginning of this month.”
On September 13, the officers said that the girl talked to her mother and that they should talk to her daughter as part of the investigation and that they should save her mobile phone.
“The next day, the girl joined a police station for a voluntary interview and the investigation continues,” he added.
“We are aware of a short and intensely arranged video clip showing some of the September 13 visit. The clip is misleading and we have examined a 10 -minute body record showing the full change.”
