Tamil Nadu Assembly session from October 14: Speaker

The next session of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will begin on October 14, 2025, speaker M. Appavu was announced on Tuesday, September 23 at Chennai. Authorized, 2025-26 additional budget forecasts will be presented in the Assembly during the session, he added.
On the first day of the session, the home will solve a condolences upon the passing of Valparai Mla TK Amul Kandasamy and other leading personalities. Death announcements will also be made for the passing of eight old legislators.
Before 14 October, a meeting of the Parliament’s business advisory committee, he said he would decide for the session time in the Parliament-Assembly Secretariat Complex in Chennai.
Mr. Appavu, who answered a question about Mr. Appavu’s last press interaction and criticism that he was the only speaker in politics in the country, said: “I was only elected as MLA and later became a speaker.”
