Victims in fiery crash on I-96 in Novi identified; new information released

The accident took place at I-96 near Beck Road immediately after 2 o’clock on Tuesday, and as the authorities investigated, it caused the highway to close for an hour.

According to Novi officials, when there was a rubber problem on the driver’s side of ACura, the first vehicle, both cars went to the east in I-96. When a Kia lowered the car back, the driver was stopped on the left lane and fired a fire that killed both drivers.

Authorities described the Acura driver as 30 -year -old Neena Wang of California. The 57 -year -old Sylvette of the KIA driver Westland was described as Campbell. There was no other passenger in the cars, and no one was injured.

Novi police and Michigan State police investigated the accident.

Interstate was closed for several hours until 9 am on Tuesday, about six hours after the accident.

Novi police said that the long cleaning on the highway is caused by debris and fuel cleaning.
