Dramatic footage shows road collapse in Thai capital
Bangkok: A road part in the center of Bangkok collapsed significantly on Wednesday and left a big knot that disrupts the traffic, damaged the infrastructure and launched the surrounding evacuation.
Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittitipunt, was not injured, but three vehicles were damaged by collapse. The authority said he believes that the collapse is caused by construction works at an underground train station.
Düden was opened by the English TV channel Thai PBS World near the Vagira Hospital on the Samsen Road in Dusit Region.
The videos of the moment of collapse showed that the surface of the road slowly sank, pulled a few electrical elbows down and damage the water pipes.

As the hole grew and the four -lane road completely broke, the cars tried to reversed. One edge of the hole stood in front of a police station and revealed the underground structure.
A nearby hospital said it would close its outpatient services for two days. Bangkok city officials, the hospital building is not affected, but people were ordered to be released from the police station and other nearby buildings, he said.
Authorities also closed the electricity and water in the region. Chadchart said that the relevant authorities are working to repair the hole as quickly as possible because of concerns that heavy rain may cause more damage. Bangkok is currently in the monsoon season.
