Chadchart Sittitipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, an engineer, visited the stage to evaluate the situation. He said that the collapse of the road was just above the intersection between a double -way railway line and a recent completed tunnel for an upcoming station.
“When the floor fell into this tunnel, then the entire tunnel collapsed. At the same time, the whole tunnel rupture a pipe and the water caused everything to collapse. He said. “We have to close the hole before everything else is dragged there.”
The governor was sure that despite the extensive damage, the hospital himself was not affected by the collapse, but a complete damage assessment continued.
