GE brings global STEM training programme to students in Bengaluru

The global career reading program, which aims to create a pipeline of STEM capabilities by launching the initiative in Bengaluru on September 24th, expanded to India on September 24th.

GE officials told Mediapersons, the expansion of the next engineers to Bengaluru, to increase access to STEM training for students and to enlarge the local engineering pipeline, and inspiring and preparing new generation engineering leaders.

The next engineers equip students between the ages of 13-18, with a practical learning experience, career exposure and university preparation to encourage engineering careers. Within the scope of the program, more than 4,000 students in Bengaluru would be educated on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for a period of four years, and starting from the beginning of CY 2026.

He trained more than 26,000 youth between the Ge Aerospace Foundation, Cincinnati, Greenville (USA), Johannesburg (South Africa), Staffordshire (England), Warsaw (Poland) and Bengaluru. The program would be carried out jointly with a NGO from GE and United Way Bengaluru (UWBE), a employee.

According to him, the next engineers program will include engineering discovery for secondary school students and an engineering academy for larger students who are preparing for higher education. Students in Academy will be able to participate in immersive design difficulties, career coaching and university preparation workshops. Appropriate students who complete the training and follow the degree of engineering will access scholarships.
