Funeral directors investigated over allegations of missing ashes and fraud

The police received reports from more than 70 people because the former funeral directors were investigations on the allegations of the loss ashes and funeral plan fraud.
The Koin operation was launched in April last year after reports on the applications of a Milne independent funeral directors in Glasgow and Dumbleon regions.
The police said that they were working with hundreds of query line ”as part of the investigation into the allegation that burned ruins and fraud is misuse.
A man 37 and 55 years old and a 56 -year -old male was arrested in relation to the investigation and left more investigations.
Police said they received a report from more than 70 people, but that a larger number could be affected and that everyone in this position could call them to contact them.
“This is an unprecedented investigation for the police Scotland and one of the largest ongoing financial investigations.

Mr. Bowie said that the complaints were about the allegation of fraudulent prepaid funeral plans.
Most of the ruins that were recovered from a previous Milne building were returned to families, but the “small quantity” remained unattended.
Detective said: “In terms of some burned remains rescued in previous facilities used by a Milne independent funeral directors, we were able to return the majority of the creamatted ruins to family members or cope with them in terms of the wishes of their families.
“As he stops, there is still a small amount of burned residues that are still not requested and unidentified, and this is what we want to get through traditional inquiry lines.”
Expert officers, including the financial investigation unit, are participating in the investigation.

“When this is combined with the possibility of additional fraud about funeral plans, it contributes to a sad and traumatic time.
“We have been closely monitoring the developments in England and Wales for a while and we are determined to ensure that the victims of this crime can access the current support services for them.”
Victim Support Scotland said that the police are working closely with Scotland to discover a support package for affected people, and that the help line was available in 0800 160 1985 with a webchat service at Victimsupport.scot.
