Greta Thunberg denies claims Gaza flotilla is a publicity stunt
Greta Thunberg returned to criticism, saying that a promotional stunt of a fleet of Gaza, where it was a part of it, would not force them completely to attention.
The Swedish activist is on one of the 52 boats that make up the global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) traveling to Gaza to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Israeli officials mocked the attempts to reach the GSF fleet and similar seas and toured Thunberg as a “selfie yacht” in June.
When the BBC’s criticism of the fleets by Laura Kuensberg, the activist said: “I don’t think anyone will risk a promotional stunt.” He said.
Speaking while sailing from the Greek coast, he said that the fleet was not only a humanitarian task, but also to people in Gaza, “people will take steps when our governments cannot step.”
International aid agencies are trying to take food and medication to Palestinian territory – but remember that Israel restricts material flow. Israel claims that these materials are trying to stop Hamas’s hands and trying to approve a US -backed aid agency.

Thunberg said the fleet’s aim was to “breaking Israel’s illegal and inhuman siege by sea”. The Israeli army has long controlled the Gaza border.
At the beginning of this month, the fleet was attacked by drones who left unidentified objects to the boats outside the Tunisian port.

Thunberg and 11 other activists were detained by Israeli officials after capturing another boat to Gaza, after seizing another boat in the Mediterranean.
He was held in Tel Aviv for a day before he was deported to France.
Thunberg accused Israel of kidnapping him and other activists illegally when he was in international waters. Israel said it prevents the violation of sea blockage around Gaza.
