Monetary Policy Continues to Be Restrictive, Fed’s Williams Says

New York Fed President John Williams said that monetary policy is still in a position that is still in a downward pressure on inflation today, but the comparison interest rate of the federal open market committee was a “less touch” after a quarter percent points at the last meeting. Williams spoke in a moderate debate at the Rochester Institute of Technology on Monday.
