Jim Cramer explains why he thinks the AI boom is different than the dotcom bubble

On Monday, Jim Cramer from CNBC returned to explain that Wall Street’s passion for artificial intelligence was the same as the 2000 DOTCOM bubble, and there are great differences in terms of the quality and financing of the current major technology stocks that brought the market to new summits.

“By talking as a pioneer of internet, what I see now is the opposite of what we saw 25 years ago. When Dotcoms made bad investments, almost all of them fell below.” He said. “However, if the worst scenario, Google and Amazon and Meta make bad investments and receive great losses, it is just another day in this office.”

Cramer, some of the Wall Street, some of the hyper scales to artificial intelligence and data centers in doubt the validity of large investments, and AI explosion will send the market to chaos as in the end of the Dotcom period, he said.

However, Cramer is the great players of each of them in space – so NvidiaMicrosoftMetaAppleAlphabetAmazon And Tesla – All “has a reputation for something different” and more important than most of Dotcom companies. He said that most of the data centers were built by these large rich companies, which was not valid for some Dotcom period clothes that bought infrastructure and falling into debt. However, he said he was a little worried ProphecyHe announced that he would build data centers with “Big Money from Openai”, because “We have no idea where this money really comes from.”

He also claimed that Tech Megacaps was not “company types that will be overthrown and continue in a few months”. Instead, he said that they are often in line with cash and could return the debt and write if they need it. He also expressed optimism that these companies will continue to succeed as AI technology becomes more advanced.

However, despite the confidence in the Big Tech and AI thesis, Cramer said he did not think that investors should stop examining big stock movements and investments in the field.

“So, should we remove the Dotcom bomb scenario from the table? Strangely, I don’t want it to be removed from the table.” “Look, skepticism is controlling.
