Navratri Ashtami, also known as Durga Ashtami or Maha Ashtami, is one of the most important days of the Nine -Day Navratri Festival. KANYA PUJA VİDHİ (Method)

Kanya Puja or Kanjak Puja is one of the most important rituals of Durga Ashtami. Here is step by step method:

  • Invite nine young girls (Kanyas) representing the nine forms of the goddess Durga.
  • Symbolizes respect and purification and wash your feet with water.
  • Apply a recitation and connect the sacred yarn (kalawa) to your hands.
  • Offer Prasad – Traditionally Puri, Chana, Halwa, Fruits and Sweets.
  • Durga mantras and Bhajans chanting Aarti.
  • Touch your feet and look for blessings from Kanyas.
  • Gifts or Dakshina (clothes, bracelets, stationery, etc.) before sending.
