Russia on the brink as insider fears ‘economic collapse’ | World | News

Russian propaganda is swinging by the economic collapse as a result of systematic Ukrainian strikes in Russian oil refineries. In the meantime, the leader of the puppet regime established by Vladimir Putin in the Crimea, fuel feels more than 30 liters per person because the ordinary people can not be sold, he said.
In a video clip published in X, Maksim Kalashnikov, a propagandist, admitted that the attacks were no longer sporadic and that it was a systematic campaign aimed at dismantling the Russian economy. He said: “The war is now not to completely destroy the Russian Federation, of course, not the collapse,” he said. Kalashnikov announced that the fuel crisis deepened.
Underlining violence, “I can say that the situation is worsening,” he added.
Kalashnikov added: “Ukraine’s strategy, which aims for critical infrastructure such as Druzhba pipeline and blue river, uses Russia’s vulnerable and pushing the country towards an unprecedented economic crisis.
He continued: “The fear of collapse from the inside is echoing from the ruling halls by pointing to a turning point in the conflict.”
In another video shared through X, Sergey Aksenov, President of the Kremlin -supported Crimean Republic, said, “We are working under control and in manual mode.”
“We will coordinate this without exception at all gas stations.
“I want to be patient from the Crimea. Currently, we are in a state that we are not objectively possible to quickly make chnge.
“If there is no panic intake, we will pass through this stage without great losses.”
Ukraine’s strategy for targeting Russian oil refineries significantly affected Russia’s energy sector and aimed to disrupt the economic life line.
The Ukrainian forces used drones and long -range missiles such as Atacm to hit the key facilities.
The remarkable examples include Kirishi refinery in Leningrad, which produces 18 million metric tons of crude oil annually, and Krasnodar and Syzran refineries shot in August 2025.
Such attacks caused explosions, fires and operational disruptions, Ukraine military “numerous” incidents and Russian officials accepted the captured drones.
Rosstat data show that Russia’s oil refining capacity is about 5.5 million barrels per day in 2024.
As of September 2025, Ukrainian strikes broke about 17% of this capacity and led to a fuel crisis. Gasoline prices increased, only Russia’s European part of the retail prices increased by 15%.
This has worsening the internal famine with the emergence of ration debates. Economic coercion, oil exports, a critical source of income, facial bottles are evident.
In 2024, Russia exported approximately 7.5 million barrels of oil per day, but the disruptions reduced this about one million barrels, affected global markets, and called for harsh sanctions.
The tactic of Ukraine benefits from the economic war aiming to weaken Russia’s war efforts and to change with significant strategic impacts towards asymmetric war by targeting its infrastructure.
