Ship on fire at Hull’s Albert Dock as roads and shops closed

Four firefighters and air platforms are used to address a fire on a ship in Albert Dock in Hull.

Teams from Humberside Fire and Rescue deals with a fire on a ship placed in Hull.

The British ports that operate Albert Dock said: “We are aware of the fire on a ship where a rented area is located and we help with the fire department.”

Dale Baxter, a BBC correspondent at the scene, described the ship as Altai, a mass carrier placed in the city since June 23rd.

Humberside Fire and Rescue said that the fire started the ship for cargo purposes

Humberside police confirmed the British Street, Wellington Street, Humber Dock, Kingston Retail Park, Marina and Jackson Street.
