Laura Muir’s former coach Andrew Young banned for three years

The Olympic Silver Medal Laura Muir said that former coach Andrew Young had been banned for three years because of his “serious abuse” for three years.

An British Athletics Disciplinary Panel found that Scotland had stopped working in 2023 and used manipulative and compelling behaviors against those who are ignored medical advice ve and “coaching.”

An incident was emphasized, “after a dispute, before leaving the roadside, before ignoring their security and prosperity with an athlete rapidly driving”.

Other examples include “an athlete to compete against the clear advice of a physiotherapist, to threaten athletes to exclude athletes or races if they do not comply with their demands, and to emotionally weaken those who expressed their concerns about injuries”.

Young has faced accusations, and in September 2024, a UKa disciplinary panel found nine of them proven “completely or partially” proven and seven serious.

Later, for five years, it was suspended by a prohibition until April 2023.

Young objected to the decision and an independent panel stated that “in August 2025” a little less opinion of the abuse of abuse “and reduced the ban to three years, and rejected the allegations of prejudice, legal error and injustice and confirmed the abuse of abuse.”
