South Africa’s ambassador to France is found dead in Paris

PARIS (AP) – A French prosecutor Emmanuel Nkosinathi, a South African Ambassador known as Nathi Mthhwa, was found dead on Tuesday morning at the bottom of a luxurious hotel tower in Western Paris.

Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said in a statement that the 58 -year -old ambassador said that on Monday evening, after saying that his wife received a worrying message from him, he said, “apologizing and the intention of getting his own life”.

On Tuesday morning, a security guard at Hyatt Hotel discovered Mthwa’s body in the inner courtyard, Beccuau said an investigation was added.

Beccuau said Mthcuau made a room reservation on the 22nd floor of the hotel where the window was forced to make the security mechanism of the window. The statement said that inspectors could not find any signs of struggle or drugs or illegal drugs.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed his sadness in the death of Mthhethwa under tragic conditions ..

In a statement published by his Office, Ramaphosa wished Mthethwa’s wife and family a deep condolences.

The South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Mthwa was appointed as the ambassador of French in December 2023 and was assigned to strengthen the binary bonds.

MTHETHWA has previously worked as police minister and Minister of Sports, Art and Culture.
