GHF boss defends Gaza aid operation after hundreds of Palestinians killed near sites

The president of a controversial US and Israeli -backed aid group defended their work after the repetitive murder incidents and the injury of Palestinians who requested help.

The Gaza Human Foundation (GHF) boss, Johnnie Moore, said that BBC World Service did not reject deaths near the new ditches of the World Service, but 100% of these losses were attributed to the GHF “and this is not true.

He accused the UN and other international organizations of spreading information they could not confirm.

. GHF assistance system condemned by UN AgenciesAnd on Friday, UN UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres branded this as “naturally insecure”.

“Any operation that directs hopeless civilians to militarized zones is naturally unsafe. Food quest should never be a death penalty.” He said.

Operated by Hamas in Gaza, the Ministry of Health said that more than 500 Palestinians have been killed and 4,000 were injured to get help since GHF took over the distribution of aid.

In the days after the GHF operations since the end of May, dozens of Palestinians were killed in separate events on 1 and 3 June and led to international condemnation.

Since then, the UN and the aid groups have alarm in their daily reports that the Palestinians were killed near the GHF areas within the Israeli military zones.

Eyewitnesses and medical officers announced that the Israeli forces opened fire on the crowd near the aid points several times.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz published a story on Friday, where anonymous IDF troops said they were ordered to fire, remove or distribute them close to unarmed civilians close to aid distribution areas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly rejected the report, which calls “malicious lies”.

In a statement to the BBC, IDF said that it did not instruct intentionally shooting civilians, including those approaching the distribution centers to forces, “IDF said.

He added that he was looking for an improvement in the “Operational response” in the fields of aid and that he has recently added new fencing and signage and opened new routes to reach the working paper areas.

The president of the GHF said, “100% of the wounded are attributed to IDF – as much as we can say that it is not true.”

In the statements of last month, IDF said that they had “warning shootings” to individuals they claimed to have defined as “suspicious” or claimed a threat.

“We spend a long time to try to understand what is actually, what is actually, and whether it is a way to reduce the likelihood of realization.” He said.

“In most cases we could not define anything with something.”

“People should understand that the killing of people who go to GHF areas is disinformation, we have no evidence of what is close to our sites.”

Israel does not allow journalists to send journalists to Gaza, including the BBC, which limits our ability to verify what is happening in the region.

Mr. Moore claimed that most of the UN aid trucks were kidnapped by gun -force before GHF’s operations.

The UN said there was no evidence of the abduction of aid trucks on a large scale. When he said this, Mr. Moore said, “The UN is not honest.”

Aid volume entering Gaza It is still considered insufficientDespite Israel last month, although partially alleviated a 11 -week blockade introduced in March. Experts, the region’s remains on the brink of famine warned.

GHF hopes to reach the milestone of giving 50 million meals in Gaza, which will be equal to one day per person since operations.

When he pushed whether food really reached the people who need the most, Mr. Moore admitted that the operation was “inadequate”, but he said that 50 million foods were more than a month ago.

He said that GHF should be scaled and hopefully work with organizations like the UN.

“The task is open. We just want to feed Ghazans.”

On Thursday, the US Department of State announced for $ 30 million (£ 22 million; 26 million €) for GHF, the first known direct contribution to the group.

The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to Hamas’s attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, and about 1,200 people were killed and 251 people were hostage.

According to the Ministry of Health, operated by Hamas of the region, more than 56,000 people have been killed in Gaza since then.
