Former constable Joshua John Potter arraigned on child abuse material charges

A former southwest Sydney police officer was found guilty of having child abuse materials a year after his first accusation.
Joshua John Potter, 26, appeared at the Campbelltown Regional Court on Thursday after being accused of the internal police investigation last September.
On Thursday, he was wearing a completely black suit in front of the court, and was supported by the family and was found guilty of having a child abuse data transportation service.
The accusation is about having materials in the Glen Alpine house between 26 May 2023 and 30 July 2024.

The material was made on a computer, the court was told on Thursday.
He will be sentenced to this accusation in the regional court.
However, on Thursday, there is no guilty for the other two charges, to access the transportation service to access child abuse materials and to use the transportation service to ensure sexual activity under the age of 16.
He is determined to be tried to the Regional Court for these two charges.
Potter, which remained on conditional bail, quickly abandoned the court on Thursday morning without commenting on the waiting media.
The hearing, which is expected to last five to seven days, will take place in next August.
NSW police said last year that Potter was suspended for wages and the employment situation was reviewed.
Since then, they told Newswire that Potter was no longer stronger.
