Murals in Fremantle: Guide to what properties can and can’t put on walls released by council

For people who want to paint murals in Fremantle, the text is on the wall.
The city of Fremant has published a guide on what the wall paintings can contain and not.
The wall painting guide aims to support artists, community groups, businesses, property owners and inhabitants who want to create wall art works in the city.
It is the revision of a previous guide caused by the increase in inquiries.
His wall paintings are part of Fremantle’s Streetscapes and brings color, creativity and storytelling to public spaces.
People who consider creating someone are first encouraged to read the guide.
The guide explains whether there is a need for approval before the wall paintings rise, their ownership and care responsibilities, and how to assign artists.
He says that the city does not support wall paintings containing “ugly images or negative, aggressive messaging, and contains sexualized content or illegal activities, smoking, alcohol or drug or business logos or ads.
The murals can be recorded in the city’s wall recordings to help protect the city from the city’s developed public art map from the developing public art map.
City Creative Arts and Community Director Pete Stone, the guide will help to encourage more successful and sustainable wall projects, he said.
“The walls of Fremantle tell the stories of our people, places and culture,” he said.
“This guide makes it easier for everyone to participate while the wall paintings are planned, protected and celebration for the future.”
