Piyush Goyal to visit Qatar from October 6-7; to co-chair Qatar-India joint commission meeting

New Delhi [India]October 5 (Memorial): Union Trade and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Qatar-India Trade and Trade Commission for the meeting of the Common Commission of Doha, Doha visits Doha between 6-7 October 2025.
The meeting will be the co -chaired by the Minister of Trade and Industry Minister of Trade and Industry Sheikh Bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani.
Release, Goyal’s visit, India’s Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is estimated to be over $ 14 billion in 2024-25, underlined the importance of trading and investment ties with Qatar, one of our important trade partners.
Goyal is accompanied by senior officials from different ministries during his first visit to Qatar. The two sides are expected to make extensive discussions that review bilateral trade performance, deals with existing trade barriers and non -tariff issues and investigate ways to improve trade and investment flows.
Negotiations will include negotiations at the Indian-Qatar FTA proposed to conclude the reference conditions (TOR) for the comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) that will further strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries.
Cooperation in other key sectors such as finance, agriculture, environment, tourism, culture and health services, and will also form an integral part of the discussions aimed at deepening the multi -faceted partnership between India and Qatar.
A business delegation of senior representatives of industries is accompanied by the Union Minister for the first meeting of the Indian Qatar Joint Business Council. Business delegation, Qatar Room, Qatar Finance Center, Invest Qatar and Qatar Free Region will be actively interested in Qatar affairs and organizations, including authority.
Among the visit, Goyal will also meet with other Qatar Room and Qatar Businessmen Association.
In addition, India will interact with the Institute of Counseling Counselors (ICAI), the Council of Indian Business and Professionals (IBPC), the senior members of Qatar and Qatar industries and the representatives of the Indian community in Qatar.
At the Joint Secretary level, the 1st meeting of the Indian-Qatar JWG’s trade and trade JWG, during February 2025, recognized as a basic pillar of bilateral cooperation during Qatar Amir’s visit to India, and agreed to direct the joint working group to the joint commission for trade and trade.
