Skydive instructor killed in Nashville after falling without parachute

A skydiving instructor was killed after crashing without a parachute in Nashville, Tennessee.

Justin Fuller, 35, was separated from his student during a skydive.

Two jumpers fell to their deaths after getting stuck in a tandem rig against the side of the plane, police said.

His student’s reserve parachute was deployed and saved his life. He was found in a wooded area by the Nashville Fire Department and freed from tree canopies by crews using ladders after being “suspended for hours.”

It is not yet clear how he was separated from his student and security equipment.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.

Three other skydivers who jumped before Fuller landed safely without any difficulty.

Fuller has reportedly participated in more than 5,000 jumps. His friend Luke Goodgion paid tribute to Fuller, who earned the nickname “Spidey.” “It was tough, it was a summary of a friend of mine,” Fox told Nashville.
