Attacks on migrants will not return the Tories to power, Lord Heseltine warns Badenoch
Toray Grandee Michael Heseltine warned the Kemi Badenoch that the party’s attacks on immigrants were “not the conservative way to rebuild power”.
In a damaging attack on his leadership, the former Deputy Prime Minister used a speech to explode the discourse of the current leadership at the conference in Manchester, and the inflammatory language “encourages the worst prejudice”.
In his speech at a European Movement event at the Conservative Party Conference, he claimed that it was not conservative to take such a difficult approach to politics.
His speech comes in a growing way on the comments made by Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick, who says he did not see any other white face while shooting in the Handsworth area of Birmingham. Later, he doubled his words, saying that the second city of England seems like a slum ”.
Lord Heseltine warned that instead of reform UK, Tories should clearly state that we will never take a role in Nigel Farage’s populist extremism ”.
“We should deal with President Trump for the next three years,” he said. “We don’t need a mouth close to number 10.
“Defining them as a thief or rapist (immigrants) encourages not only honest, but also the worst prejudice in our communities.
“If a single boat had not reached these shores, it would not make it difficult for the problems underlying our labor force and the constant overseas supply of workers.”
Lord Heseltine said that the atmosphere in British politics has disturbing echoes of one of the darkest parts of modern history.
“Since the end of the 1930s, there are other disturbing memories. The rise of fascism found his followers to the bottom of the European society in Germany, Italy and Spain, while Mosley walked his followers at the eastern end of London.
“He required Churchill’s stability of iron, his conservative colleagues to stop the search for peace with Hitler.”
He also understood the party’s support to Brexit, which still hurts England more than anything else.
Lord Heseltine said: “The latest surveys told us that 56 percent believe that separation is a mistake (EU). Only 31 percent believes that it is true. The tide turns.”
But he expressed true fears about the direction of politics in Western democracies.

However, at a conference, which made Tories look like a dying party, revealed a winning formula that he believed to see that he would regain power.
