More than 1,000 small boat migrants cross Channel to Britain in just one day AGAIN

More than 1,000 small boat migrants crossed the Channel to reach the UK on Wednesday, the Home Office confirmed.
The ministry said 1,075 people arrived on 15 boats in a 24-hour period, the third highest number so far this year.
This brings the year-to-date total to 35,476, a 33 per cent increase on the same period last year.
The total number of small boat migrants arriving in the UK since Labor came to power now stands at 58,718.
The government’s ‘one in, one out’ agreement with France came into force more than two months ago.
But the latest figures show that only seven migrants have been deported so far, while another three have been accepted into the UK.
Wednesday’s massive Canal arrivals marked the fourth day to reach 1,000 so far this year.
The migrants arrived in Dover on a Border Force ship on Wednesday, while a total of 1,075 people crossed the Channel in a small boat.

The all-time record for daily arrivals is 1,305 on September 3, 2022.
Human traffickers started using lethal ‘Megaboats’ were used to send migrants on their perilous journey across the Channel.
At the end of last month one of the overloaded inflatable boats (approximately 40ft) was photographed in the Channel for the first time.

As one of his first acts in office, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer canceled the Conservative Party’s Rwanda asylum deal, designed to deter migrants and save lives.
Labor now claims the ‘one in, one out’ plan will undermine traffickers’ tactics and ‘break up gangs’ by convincing would-be migrants that crossing the Channel could be fruitless.
However, it is stated that the program was implemented slowly after facing legal challenges, and even when fully operational, only around 50 immigrants are expected to be removed per week.
