Donald Trump announces Middle East trip to celebrate peace deal in Gaza

President Donald Trump has confirmed that a peace deal has been reached in Gaza and that he plans to travel to the Middle East to celebrate.
He stated that the Israeli hostages held by Hamas “should be released on Monday or Tuesday” and predicted “It will be a happy day.”
He announced that coordination on the release of hostages is still ongoing.
‘Obtaining them is a complex process. I’d rather not tell you what they have to do to get them. “There are places you don’t want to be,” he said.
Trump announced that he will travel to the Middle East ‘very soon’, but timing and details are still being worked out.
“There is truly peace in the Middle East,” Trump said, adding that he had proven wrong the skeptics who believed an agreement could never be reached.
It reminded the public of the cruelty of the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7, 2022, in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 people were taken hostage. However, he also noted that 70,000 people were killed in Gaza.
‘This is great revenge… at some point everything has to stop,’ he said.
He thanked leaders from Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for coming together to pressure Gaza to make a deal.
‘It all came together,’ he said.
Both Israel and Hamas agreed to halt the fighting in Gaza until the hostages are released, as part of the first phase of the president’s 20-point peace deal.
Trump’s announcement was the latest development in a fast-moving peace process that began after Secretary of State Marco Rubio dramatically interrupted the president’s public comment on left-wing violence in the United States.
“The Secretary of State gave me a note saying we’re very close to a deal in the Middle East and they’re going to need me pretty quickly,” Trump told reporters at a roundtable on Wednesday.
