Player moves, deals, pick trades and more with Charlie Curnow, Zach Merrett, Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in the mix for new clubs

New Carlton football boss Chris Davies stepped into the spotlight this morning after Geelong offered three first-round picks for eager forward Charlie Curnow.

But long-serving Port Adelaide football manager Davies was unimpressed with the selections the Cats reportedly had on offer.

“We don’t want Charlie to leave Carlton,” Davies told AFL trade radio.

“I want to make this very clear. These three picks that the Cats presented were effectively picks made in the ’20s.

“No one would think this is a reasonable deal for the player Charlie is.”

Davies reiterated that the Blues do not want to trade Curnow.

“We’re not in a position where we would voluntarily do anything in relation to Charlie,” Davies told AFL trade radio.

“I’m not going to sit here and suggest what we want from Sydney or Geelong because we want him to stay.”
