Meghan Markle will hit the stage once again in a few days, joining some of the biggest names in the US at a summit of influential women in Washington, according to reports. The Duchess of Sussex will attend Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, on October 14.
Meghan will discuss the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever and talk about “navigating entrepreneurship in the public eye and building a lasting brand.” People magazine reports. The three-day summit will feature talks by former Vice President Harris on her presidential campaign and recently published book 107 Days, Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand, Kara Lawson’s coaching of the US Women’s Basketball Team, Brené Brown’s team leadership and company culture, and other topics.
It comes hours before the Duchess is due to be honored for her and Prince Harry’s humanitarian work on Thursday evening, and almost a week after her surprise appearance in France for Paris Fashion Week.
Harry and Meghan will be honored for their mental health advocacy and receive Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year Award at the nonprofit organization’s World Mental Health Day Gala.
On Friday, the Sussex couple will attend Project Healthy Minds’ fourth annual World Mental Health Day.
According to People magazine, the Archewell Foundation has teamed up with Project Healthy Minds to co-produce a series of conversations about how people can make a difference in the mental health industry.
“Working with families and young people to prioritize online safety has been one of the most meaningful jobs of our lives,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement last month. “As parents, we are moved by the power of their stories and honored to support them.”
“We are proud to be a long-time partner of the Healthy Minds Project as we work together to shed light on what remains one of the most pressing issues of our time.”
The duchess’ last appearance before Thursday was in Paris, where she attended Balenciaga’s fashion show and after-party.
This was his first trip to Europe in three years.
