But before Dart could officially celebrate the second victory of his NFL career, the 22-year-old entered the medical tent to be evaluated for a possible concussion. Russell Wilson, the Giants’ starter in their first three games, entered the game briefly on Thursday night.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll was visibly upset when Dart left the game. The team’s chief physician, Dr. Scott A. Rodeo then fell into the crosshairs.

“If you’ve ever been on the sideline in the NFL, you go through a lot of emotions,” Daboll said in the postgame media appearance. “There’s a lot of emotion. And I’m definitely an emotional guy. I apologized directly to our team doctor. I just wanted him to be there if he was okay. But I wanted the process — like we were setting up for a potential fourth loss. If he could get out there, I would take a break. So, I was asking how long would it take?”
At one point while Dart was with the medical staff, Daboll entered the tent, presumably to check on the young quarterback. Giants President and CEO John Mara said he spoke with Daboll about his behavior during the game.

Daboll said he respected the medical staff and reiterated his apology.
“So you still want your guy to be there without being exposed to any other risks. But, you know, he showed up. ‘I think he’ll be fine.’ ‘Will it be good or not? ‘On the fourth down, I’m going to take a timeout and go after this son of a bitch.’ Do you see what I mean? That’s why I love our doctors. …I’m sorry. I was wrong.”
The Giants have won two of their last three games. Meanwhile, the Eagles scored two goals in a row.
