Troy Milne: Police details concerns as hunt for missing diabetic camper enters fifth day

Family members of a missing diabetic camper are “deeply concerned” for his well-being after he disappeared while on a mission.
Troy Milne, 61, was camping with his wife at a caravan park in Woodside Beach, south-east of Melbourne, when he set off at around 5.30pm on October 7.
What was supposed to be a short journey turned into a five-day search with sightings at Sale, Bairnsdale, Omeo and Swifts Creek.
On Sunday, Victoria Police released images of Mr Milne and his vehicle, urging anyone who sees the missing man to contact Triple-0 or Sales Police.
According to police, the insulin-dependent man was seen driving to a shop in Sale about 40 minutes after leaving the camp and his car was photographed in Bairnsdale at 9.18am the next morning.
Later the same day, investigators believe he purchased items from a service station in Omeo at around 12.46pm, where staff reported he appeared “lost and confused”.
“The last known image of Troy’s vehicle was captured on CCTV traveling south along Swifts Creek on the Great Alpine Road at 1.03pm on October 8,” a Victoria Police spokesman said.
“Police and his family are deeply concerned for Troy’s health as he lives with diabetes and does not have insulin with him.
“Without any medication, Troy is expected to be confused and possibly unaware that he is having a medical crisis.”

Despite police efforts, Mr. Milne or his 2007 silver and black Jeep Wrangler, registration XPZ-342, were never later found.
He is described as being 193cm tall, of medium to sturdy build, and with scars on his forehead.
She was last seen wearing a white tank top, gray Everlast sweater, sweatpants and a black thong.
