K.S. Viswanathan assumes charge as Director of Information and Public Relations in Vijayawada

KS Viswanathan took charge as Director, Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department at the State headquarters at NTR Administration Block in Vijayawada on Monday.

He replaced Mr. Himanshu Shukla, who was transferred and posted as District Collector of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. Following Mr. Shukla’s transfer, Mr. Prakhar Jain was holding the additional post until Mr. Viswanathan’s official appointment.

Mr. Viswanathan previously served as Commissioner of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA). During his administrative career, he held important positions such as Deputy Collector in Anantapur, Sub-Collector in Narasapuram and Joint Collector in Prakasam and Visakhapatnam districts.

After assuming the charge, Mr. Viswanathan was congratulated by senior officials and staff of I&PR Department. He then reviewed the ongoing programs and general functioning of the ministry with the officials.
