Hamas executes ‘collaborators’ in Gaza as it clings to power amid fears Trump’s peace deal is already at risk

Gruesome footage has emerged showing Palestinians being executed by Hamas, fueling fears that the Gaza peace deal is already at risk of collapse as the terror group tries to cling to power.
Disturbing images circulating on social media show a group of men kneeling on the ground with their hands behind their backs.
Armed militants, some wearing Hamas-style headbands, stand behind the victims, their faces covered, before gunshots are heard and seven kneeling men fall to the ground, apparently lifeless.
Cheering crowds shouted ‘Allah Akbar’, ‘Allah is great’ and filmed the horrific scenes on their mobile phones, branding the executed men ‘collaborators’.
The video, thought to have been shot in Gaza on Monday, raised concerns among observers just days after a Trump-brokered peace deal aimed at ending more than two years of violence came into force.
This also comes amid reports that Hamas is recalling around 7,000 members of its security forces to reassert control over areas of Gaza recently evacuated by Israeli troops.
Analysts similarly worry that Trump’s peace deal could be at risk if Hamas fails to return the bodies of all 28 Israeli hostages who died in captivity. They’ve only released four so far.
A horrific new video has emerged on social media showing several men being executed
In the video, a crowd can be seen cheering as the men are slaughtered. Slogans such as ‘Allah is Akbar’ and ‘Allah is great’ are chanted. Men are also called ‘collaborators’
The video was widely shared, claiming that the attackers were Hamas fighters executing Palestinians.
The Daily Mail could not immediately confirm the circumstances of the footage, when and where the video was shot, who the gunmen were or whether the victims were charged with their cooperation.
But last month, Hamas-led authorities admitted to executing three men accused of collaborating with Israel.
It is feared that if the video is real, it could indicate Hamas is trying to regain control through fear and violence.
The video was shared with the following title: ‘Hamas is taking advantage of the ceasefire with Israel to eliminate internal dissidents. Does anyone believe in this peace?’
In the past, Hamas has been accused of carrying out public executions on the streets of Gaza. Many human rights groups and world leaders condemned the punishment.
Yesterday, US President Donald Trump and mediators signed a peace agreement in Egypt to end the war in Gaza.
This came after Hamas released all surviving hostages captured when it launched a brutal massacre against Israel on October 7, 2023.
The group’s action sparked war in Gaza that killed thousands of Palestinians and displaced millions of families.
Yesterday Hamas released all 20 living hostages but was unable to provide the bodies of those who died in captivity.
Yesterday President Trump and other negotiators signed a peace agreement in Egypt but there are concerns that the agreement may be on the verge of collapse
But there is still anger in Israel as grieving families of hostages who died in captivity condemn the return of the bodies of only four of the 28 who died.
Some families were reportedly expecting to be reunited with their families, only to learn that they had been killed.
One of the articles included in the 20-article peace agreement is the demilitarization of Gaza.
It also states that Hamas will not be involved in the management of the region, which ‘will be governed by an interim, transitional government composed of Palestinian technocrats who will be responsible for the provision of daily services to the people of the Strip.’
But the brutal new video has fueled fears that the militant group may refuse to lay down its weapons in a desperate bid to stay in power.
