Infosys will deliver a new workforce management system for the NHS in England and Wales.

Indian IT major Infosys has bagged a contract worth around Rs 14,137 crore from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA). The IT specialist will deliver a new workforce management system for the NHS in England and Wales, the company said in a regulatory filing. “We are honored to be selected by NHSBSA to drive generational change through the Future Workforce Solution,” said Salil Parekh, CEO and MD, Infosys.

What will Infosys do under the agreement?

Under the 15-year agreement, Infosys will develop a cutting-edge, data-driven workforce management solution to replace the current Electronic Personnel Record (ESR) system. The new solution will continue to manage the payroll of 1.9 million NHS workers in England and Wales.

What does the new solution offer?

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics, the solution will cover the entire employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding to payroll, career progression and retirement. It is designed to simplify workforce planning, support data-driven decision-making and provide NHS staff with an intuitive, self-service experience. The Future NHS Workforce Solution supports the NHS 10 Year Health Plan and its mission to create a workforce fit for the future.
