Meghan Markle has revealed what she really makes of life as a mother in the UK. Even though she had “no plans” for her and Prince Harry’s future on the other side of the Atlantic, this was clearly a move Meghan had to make.

Speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C., Meghan told Fortune editor-in-chief Alyson Shontell: “You know, Archie was very young and I had gotten pregnant with Lili around the same time, so we were nesting and nesting and recovering. Also, I don’t know, I had the bandwidth at the time to think about what the big picture dream was. There was no plan.”

“Let’s just get through the next few years, creating a community in our new surroundings that has always been so important to both of us.”
