As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections reach their peak, the man has emerged as another prominent figure, this time not in business but in politics. Bihar industrialist Niraj Singh’s journey has been inspiring and now he is set to become the Jan Suraaj Party’s candidate for the Sheohar seat.

Who is Niraj Singh?

Niraj Singh was born in Mathurapur village in Sheohar district of Bihar. He has a humble background. At the age of 13, he cleared the Class So he started selling gasoline and diesel in his village. Three years later, he moved to Delhi in search of work and started working as a security guard. The following year, he moved to Pune and worked as an office attendant in a private company. She later became a human resources specialist before opening a grain business in 2010.

In a very short time, his business became a success. He later founded Usha Industries, which deals in bricks, building blocks, tiles and other ceramic products. Singh’s business has now expanded into road construction and he recently opened a petrol pump. According to reports, his company, headquartered in Motihar, has a turnover of 400 billion rupees and employs approximately 2,000 people.

He once didn’t even own a bike, but thanks to his successful business, he owns a Range Rover and half a dozen luxury cars. He lives with his wife, two sons and their parents. He also now has a law degree.

Singh will file his candidacy on October 17. “Real politics changes people’s lives. Bihar has everything, we just need the will to do it,” he says ahead of Prashant Kishor’s party poll.
