Woman, 23, dies after game of RUSSIAN ROULETTE went tragically wrong

A 23-year-old woman was shot and killed while playing Russian Roulette in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Rachel Counts died from a gunshot wound to the chest while taking part in the play.
The alleged shooter, 23-year-old Omarion Horne, was arrested and charged the next morning with a litany of charges including felony murder, aggravated assault and manslaughter.
The alleged attacker appeared in court on Friday after prosecutors said the 23-year-olds were playing a card game with their partners.
They accused Horne of removing all but one bullet before throwing his gun and pointing it at his head, in the infamous October 5 play.
Prosecutors added that Horne chillingly suggested: ‘Let’s play Russian roulette.’ Police said it was not yet clear whether he pulled the trigger.

He then allegedly pointed the gun at Counts and pulled the trigger, striking the woman in the chest, WLTW5 reported.
The Cincinnati Fire Department later responded to the call at 10:45 p.m. and found him suffering from a ‘gunshot wound.’
It was determined that the Count died at the scene.
Hamilton County Judge William Mallory called the death a “senseless tragedy.”
“It’s sad that people use firearms as toys because it’s truly a tragedy if those circumstances are right,” Mallory said.

In the video, Horne can be seen sobbing uncontrollably and unable to make eye contact.
Prosecutors said Horne could face life in prison if convicted, according to People magazine.

Counts was ‘cool and quirky’ and ‘loved being around others and making them laugh’
She is remembered as an active young woman who ‘enjoyed being involved and was always at the center of something’.
In court, Horne’s defense attorney asked the judge to show leniency and courtesy in setting bail, adding that he had no prior criminal record, WCPO reported.
Despite the request, Judge Mallory set Horne’s bond at $1 million, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges and the fatal outcome.
The grand jury date is set for Thursday, with additional updates to come.
